The Wizard for Hospital Indicator Calculation (WHIC) software is designed to support hospital managers and staff responsible for quality improvement, utilization, and/or decision support. No special technological or statistical training is needed. All that is required is the standard data submission files your hospital has prepared for Canadian Institute for Health Information(CIHI) and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC).
To use WHIC you need to:
- Check the system requirements to see if your computer has these features.
- Have WHIC on your local computer. To install WHIC go to Installing WHIC.
- Check the WHIC User Manual and Quick Start Guide available under Get Documentation to learn about the WHIC software.
- Check for updates and install the current update by Obtaining WHIC Updates to upgrade the WHIC software already installed on your computer. (An update is a software patch that adds new features and functionality.)
