Hospital Report '99 deepens the work begun in last year's report by presenting hospital-specific performance information.

When released, this report represented one of the largest and most comprehensive hospital-level performance reviews and accountability processes in Canada, and contained the results from one of the largest patient satisfaction surveys ever conducted in North America.

Performance indicators are presented for four key areas (quadrants) of hospital activity - clinical utilization and outcomes, financial performance and condition, patient satisfaction, and system integration and change.

A Technical Report describing the methodological approach used to develop the report is available.
