For 2006, the Hospital Report Research Collaborative presents Hospital Report e-Scorecard 2006 Update for Complex Continuing Care and the Technical Summaries that describe the methodological approaches for two of the quadrants for performance measurement of complex continuing care hospitals and hospital-based programs in Ontario: Clinical Utilization and Outcomes and Financial Performance and Condition.

The Hospital Report e-Scorecard 2006 Update for Complex Continuing Care provides performance indicators for Clinical Utilization and Outcomes and Financial Performance and Condition quadrants based on 2004/2005 data. Provincial-level means for the clinical hospital-specific indicators (stratified by sex) and financial indicator results are reported for 14 of the free standing complex continuing care hospitals and 87 of the acute care hospitals with complex continuing care programs.

Reporting Focus:

e-Scorecard - hospital-specific

Three classifications are used: above average performance, average performance, and below average performance.

Results are provided by hospital, LHIN and province.

Coverage:

Indicator results are provided for 101 of the 106 hospitals with complex continuing care beds.
