Peter Prendergast, MD, FRCP(C) is Psychiatrist-in-Chief/Director of Professional Affairs, Whitby Mental Health Centre and Vice-Chair, Clinical Services, Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto. He trained in medicine and psychiatry in Ireland, and has worked at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, the Toronto General Division of the University Health Network, Queen Street Mental Health Centre and Whitby Mental Health Centre. He is a member of the Ontario Review Board, the Health Systems Research & Consulting Unit at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, one of the Mental Health and Addictions co-leaders of the recent Local Health Integration Networks (LHIN) integration report exercise, and served on the Central East (Whitby) Mental Health Implementation Task Force.
